Bob Goodnough is a well-known Abstract Expressionist painter and sculptor.  He took his undergraduate degree in Art Education at N.Y.U. before serving in the Navy and then returning to set up his studio and become one of the prominent second generation painters of the New York School. His paintings are in the collections of MoMA, The Whitney Museum, The Metropolitan Museum and The Smithsonian. Martin H. Bush wrote a study of his work entitled Robert Goodnough (New York: Abbeville Press, 1982). Most recently he has been devoting his imagination to several series of whimsical sculptures based on toys and dinosaurs. His work for The Feral Press includes an autobiographical essay written during his student years, a “masque” (illustrated with photos of recent sculptures) and stories written during World War II. A native of  Moravia, New York, he currently lives with his artist-wife, Emiko, in Westchester, just north of New York City.
